Small Library – 5 PCs 

The library has only 5 PCs and seeks a cost-effective PC booking solution. They use a cloud-based library management system with two user categories: Adult and Child. Both adults and children can use any PC, but children should have a more restricted set of time and desktop profile compared to adults.

Tags can be used to differentiate between adult and child profiles, ensuring appropriate restrictions and booking limits. 

Medium Library – 200 PCs 

This library has 200 PCs and uses a cloud-based library management system with several user categories: Adults, Seniors, Teens, Juniors, and Children. The PCs are divided into multiple areas, with specific PCs designated for children, juniors, and teenagers, which adults cannot use. All other PCs are for adult use only. There is also a set of PCs designated for queuing. 

Adults

  • Allowed only in their designated areas. 
  • 180 minutes per day. 
  • 3 bookings per day. 
  • Maximum session of 60 minutes.

Teenagers, Juniors, and Children

  • Allowed only in their designated areas. 
  • 180 minutes per day. 
  • 6 sessions per day. 
  • Maximum session of 30 minutes.

Configuration with Tags

Tags can be used to enforce area restrictions and booking limits for different user groups. 

Queuing locations are configured by creating queued locations – Tags and rules apply to these computers. 

Azure AD College 

The college has 40,000 users, each belonging to multiple Azure AD groups related to their courses, totalling 1,000 groups. Some users, particularly FE students, require more time per session and have their own designated area. All other PCs are accessible to everyone, including FE students. 

FE Students 

  • 720 minutes per day. 
  • Up to 15 sessions per day. 
  • Maximum session of 240 minutes.
